Focus Area: Hyperlinks
Introduction
Hyperlinks are a staple of online courses and can be a powerful tool to provide access to a wide variety of online content. It is important to ensure that hyperlinks can be understood by users of assistive technologies in the manner in which they interact with the links.
The tools required to create accessible hyperlinks are available in most applications and Learning Management Systems. In this book, we will discuss 3 different types of hyperlinks, demonstrate hyperlink issues to users of assistive technologies, review hyperlink behavior, and illustrate how to make hyperlinks accessible using tools found in most Learning Management Systems and applications.
